Tonight's the night..
Fuck im anxious to get out there. My mom just called. She gave me a couple of encouraging words for tonights game. I like when she's doing that. She might not be a crazy hockey dad or a supersmart agent but she always knows what's right and what's wrong. She might not use the terms and language of an veteran coach but she is honest, straight forward and i understand what she means. Its kind of funny the way she looks at hockey too. It makes me realize that hockey is just a game, nothing more, nothing less. When you're out there bustin your balls for that logo on your chest its important to know that. To be focused on what you're supposed to do. To pay attention to every single detail so that in the end it will lead to succes for your club, your team, your family.

Hockey must be one of the best things ever invented. For the players, for media and for the fans. Its got all the elements you want in one game of 60 minutes. It's exciting, thrilling, fast, tough and skilled..
It has its ups and downs, pros and cons, good games and bad games. But in the end it has what we people crave the most, wins. I think everyone wants to be a winner. Winning is a good feeling. It makes you happy, positive and motivated. I know that after my team has won a game my whole body fills up with joy and laughter. It's like bubbles inside my stomach that can't wait to rise up through my body and make my face burst out into a big smile. It's like all bad things in your life get scared and crawls back to whatever dark hole they came from. That pile of dish in the sink doesn't bother you near as much as it did the day before. The never-ending nags from your girlfriend all of a sudden sounds like sweet music to your ears. You start thinking that life is good, life is great. Don't worry be happy becomes a common phrase in your life and those dark afternoons after practice suddenly changes to a peaceful moment of recovery for what to come. All in all i can say that i like winning and that's why i'm doing what i'm doing. That's what motivates me day in and day out. So why am I gonna go down to the rink and work my ass of for us to win tonight? because...
