Sitter hemma hos mig nu. Luffen lämnade nyss för att gå hem och förbereda sig för sin stora show imorgon. Jag har hjälpt honom att öva på den tolkning av Romeo och Julia han och två tjejer ska framföra imorgon i skolan.
Jag fick till min stora glädje vara Julia medan Luffen klev in i rollen som storstekaren Romeo lika vant som en annan tar på sig strumporna. Vill nog passa på att väcka frågan om inte Shakespeare tänkte på en kille som Luffen när han hittade på historien.
Tyvärr måste jag säga att det lilla manus som de här tre skoleleverna hafsat ihop skulle få vår gode Shakespeare att vrida sig i graven. Men men, cred för att dom försöker.
Efter lite repetering av den torftiga dialogen fick jag nog och föreslog att hjälpa till lite. Luffen sken upp som en sol och välkomnade intiativet. Vi ändrade om alla hans repliker så dom fick lite mer liv och attityd i sig. Luffen ville gärna se att Romeo hade ett lite mer "färgat" språk om vi säger så och att han vågade hålla sig med den slang som förekommer dagligen i South Central, Los Angeles. Av hänsyn till den lärare som så småningom ska betygsätta denna skapelse valde jag dock att inte gå to far out there så att säga och ändå hålla det något sånär inom ramen en godtyckling skolengelska.
Tycker att vi lyckades rätt bra trots allt, är övertygad om att det blir succé!

Rome and Juliet
Berättaren: once upon a time a girl and a boy fell in love. But it was very hard, because the family didn't like each other. And it causes problem to Romeos and Juliets relationship. Juliet family wants her to merry Paris, who is a rich merchant.
 Juliet: I can't see you anymore, because my family hates yours. I'm so sorry, but I can't leave my family. But you should know that I love you very much!

Romeo: Oh Juliet. Don't say that. Nothin shall keep us apart. not your family, nor mine. You're the sunshine in my life. My shining star. Our love is what matters, nothing else. Please, tell me you will marry me?

Juliet: I can't understand that I have found some one like you! You are wonderful! And Yes I will marry you! I think we will be very happy and have many nice days together.

Berättaren: Juliet and Rome get married and they were very happy together. But later Romeo and Juliet's cousin Tybalt start a fight and than Romeo kills Tybalt, and after that Romeo became banishment. He needs to leave the town and Juliet. But first he wants to say good bye to Juliet.

Romeo: I'm sorry Juliet. Killing Tybault was a huge mistake. Trust me, I regret it. I wake up every morning with a big lump in my stomach. But we gotta face the facts here tho, there's nothing I can do about it. So you just gotta get over it and move on. Sack up or pack up! This is good bye Juliet. But I promise you this. You will see my skinny white ass again.

Juliet: yes it was very stupid; I can't not understand how you could kill my cousin?

I also hope that we see each other again, because I need you.

Berättaren: Romeo leaves the town and Juliet need to get married whit Paris.

Juliet doesn't want that, so she search help from the churchman. The churchman gives Juliet a drink of deep sleeping pill. So the others thinks she's dead.

Romeo finds her:

Julia ligger på golvet.

Romeo: Come on girl, why did you do this to me? You knew I ain't gonna live without you. Can't believe you of all people would do such a selfish thing. Arggh! This shit is killing me, literarily!

Så tar han en dryck och dör.

Så vaknar Juliet och ser Romeo död.

Juliet: No Romeo!

Tar en kniv och dör.
